Arrival of the KATRIN Main Spectrometer at Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe

On November 25, 2006, the saint's day of "Katharina", the vessel of the KATRIN Main Spectrometer arrived at its destination, the Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe, after a long journey which had begun on September 28.

After disassembling and transportation of the heavy-load crane to the KATRIN site at FZK, the spectrometer was lifted into the new hall and manoevered to its final position on November 29.
