Finding a room to live for a short time is not easy in the Netherlands and if I had not found one I would not have been able to do this internship there.
This is my story:

First I did what everyone would do in this situation: search the internet. You can find rooms in the Internet. Not in Best, but in Eindhoven - and this means a minimum of one hour travelling each day and 50 Euros extra for the train each month. The fact that there were often more than 80 applications for a free room was not very motivating.

So the only thing left was to drive to Best there and look for a room on location. (By the way: thanks again to Ariane for coming with me!)
The first agency we found there was very disappointing. They told me about a waiting list of 6 years! But they also told me to phone a few private brokers - they might be able to help. And they were: A minimum rent of 450 Euros a month. And a waiting list of two years. Great. I had two weeks not years!
It looked like there is no way out and I had to look for a room in Eindhoven . A way of doing this is to go to the University of Eindhoven (TU/e). They also were not helpful, because I am not a student there. So we grazed all the bulletin boards for flat-sharing communities. In the Netherlands it is normal to make an evening where all the candidates for a room meet together and they will pick one. Good chances for a non-Dutch speaking German that will only stay for 5 months. Thus the chances for subletting a room from a student that also stays abroad for a certain period seems more promising.

How many announceces did we found? One. Only for three months and not close to the station but this is better than nothing. And I was lucky: the room was still free, but the guy who knows more will be back at 18 till 19 o'clock (two hours later). So at 6pm we drove to the car park at the station and I tried to telephone with a public telephone the guy, but he was not home yet. We had to wait and to call again later. Strange people were there at the parking place. A Rasta man drove next to our car speaking in his cell phone. When he noticed that we both had an open window he closed his so that I cannot listen anymore. I called every quarter of an hour, but the guy did not come home. At half past seven I called the last time. We really wanted to drive home. And I was lucky - the guy was home again. But he only told me that I should write an e-mail to the original renter of the room and that is it. We waited with the intention to see the room but it was for nothing. We wanted to drive home but the Rasta man in the car next to ours asked if we could change some money, so that he can pay the parking. Of course and I was quite sure that next he will ask if we want to buy some drugs. He asked if he can help us with something. What did he mean? I answered that I was looking for a place to live for a short time and that I do not believe that he would be able to help me. But he said he might now a place where I could live. He could show us - we just had to follow him - it is a few km away. He went back in his car and drove away. This guy wanted to park and now not anymore? We had nothing to lose so we followed his car. He drove on the highway and left the letter at Best! What a nice (or strange?) coincidence! He led us to his home and showed us a room under the roof where I might live the next 5 month. We talked the whole afternoon to get to know each other. His girlfriend arrived after half an hour (it is actually her house!) but she had nothing against me living with them sharing kitchen and bathroom. Their child was too young to complain (and it was more interested watching cartoons) so two weeks later I really moved to Best. It came out that she is Dutch and he is French, so with the English at Philips I had finally 4 languages in my mind every day. That is really confusing!

But the house was good! It was only 10 minutes by bike to the work and best was: I had the only room in the house, where you can receive free internet via WLAN. Ok, the notebook has to be in a special position next to the window, but therefore I build a special internet receiving table. So with this I could keep in touch with the outside world.

But now let's get a bit more serious and come to the technical stuff. It starts with a short explanaition of
